It is thanks to the expert skills of our packers that the reputation of Art Transit International has built up over the years.
Every package is unique, individually sized and produced according to each object's specificity, such as it's type and fragility. This guarantees complete security for your works of art throughout their transport.
We offer different types of packaging, depending on your needs, and the quality of the object. Our workshop managers can give you valuable advice according to the means of transport, the object's value and, of course, your specific needs.
- top quality packaging, for objects which are particularly fragile, or sensitive to variations in temperature and humidity. This can include jewel cases, foam padding, showcases, specific stands, isolation crates, double-layered boxes, crates with sliding drawers, etc...
- standard packing, the best price/quality ratio. This can include crates in "claire-voie", crates in plywood, etc...
- simple protective padding, wrapped in tissue paper.
- for furniture, fibreNAP™ or Elastok™ padding, between two sheets of ribbed cardboard.
To minimise transit costs, these two last methods are often recommended for transport by road, with no reloading.
Our packers can wrap objects on site, before any transportation. They can also accompany the object to its destination, to ensure careful unpacking and final installation. They can assist clients throughout an exhibition and, when finished, repack objects for the return trip.
Our packers work with the finest materials at the workshop in Gennevilliers, or they can go directly on-site to create packaging for really fragile objects.
The workshop in Gennevilliers has a specific area for clients to present their works of art, and also a customs-bonded presentation area. Restorers, photographers and experts can all work at ease in our warehouses - a spacious, well-lit area is at their disposition.
